The VP for Marketing & Communications develops and directs the institutional communications and marketing strategy in collaboration with other senior staff across departments; Deepens museum relationships with local, regional and national media outlets; Oversees all social media efforts and determine appropriate quantitative and qualitative assessment methods; Oversees all internal and external design of publications, marketing and communications instruments both electronic and in print; and serves as a spokesperson for the museum as needed.
Candidate should have at least seven years of experience in successful leadership roles in the discipline including oversight of brand management, social media, graphic design, general media, public relations, and website development. Cultural non-profit background preferred but not required. B.A or B.S. Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field of study. M.A. preferred. Must be comfortable and effective in a fast-paced context and a close, collaborative working environment. The Vice President will oversee a department of two additional full-time positions and various third-party service providers. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite essential.
